The Career of a Lifetime…in 15 years.
10 Major Cities • 11 Home Addresses • 12 Radio Stations

A summer internship…
…that accidentally turned into a career.
Few towns in middle-America with only 5,000 people have a locally owned-and-operated radio station, especially nowadays… I was very lucky to start my radio career in my hometown of Benton, Illinois at Q106. (Thank you, Dana Withers and Steve Browning!) At the budding age of 13, I aspired to be like Howard Stern; my parents saw it as an opportunity to build work ethic and skills beyond mowing the lawn…I saw it as, ‘one day, maybe I'll get to interview Pamela Anderson, like Howard.’
However, the State of Illinois saw it as infringing upon the Child Labor Law Act (820 ILCS 205/1 et seq.); but, after some paperwork and an interview with a curious woman from the courthouse who 'just needed to be sure' I actually wanted to wake up at 4:00 a.m. to get coffee and print stories from the AP News Wire before school every day…I finally walked into the studio, and I fell in love with morning radio.
The next 15 years became more than I could have ever imagined; I had the rare opportunity to be an On-Air Personality for some of the biggest radio stations in the country while having my show syndicated across eight major cities (St. Louis, Chicago, San Francisco, Cincinnati, Tampa, Atlanta, Portland, and Sacramento); ultimately gaining a national syndication deal with SiriusXM.
It was an honor and a privilege to be a small part of these big brands.

Over time I lost track of the exact number, but it’s safe to say I had the good fortune to interview over 300 musicians, actors and celebrities throughout my career.
Below is a collection of photos with some of the more notable people.
